SEED SELF SERVICE

Self-service kiosks for Oklahoma dispensaries

Shorter lines, bigger carts, and loyalty sign-ups that happen on their own — kiosks synced live to your POS. Oklahoma has one of the highest dispensary counts per capita in the country — medical-only, hyper-competitive, and unforgiving of a menu that’s wrong.

KIOSKS IN OKLAHOMA

Built for the room Oklahoma actually has

A medical counter runs on consults, and consults take time. Kiosks give the patients who already know their order an express lane — browse, build the cart, check out in three fields (first name, last name, phone number) — so your staff’s time goes to the patients who need it. Run them as true self-service or budtender-assisted; either way you serve more people per hour without staffing for it.

Seed kiosk showing a larger average order

40% higher average order value

Nobody explores add-ons while a line forms behind them. Kiosks let patients browse without the clock — and our recommendation engine suggests relevant products at the moments that matter. Less rush, bigger carts.

150% more loyalty sign-ups

Enrollment happens at the kiosk, mid-order, with no extra step at the counter — which is why stores see dramatically more sign-ups than on standard kiosks. Loyalty grows while the line moves.

Your brand on the glass, not ours

Kiosks are fully white-label: your colors, your logo, your voice. And checkout asks patients for exactly three things — first name, last name, phone number — because sixteen form fields is how you end a line-skipping express lane.

IN-STORE SCREEN RULES · OKLAHOMA

What you can show on screens in Oklahoma

Oklahoma’s rules are content-based. Advertising may not be deceptive, false, or misleading, may not promote overconsumption, may not make curative or therapeutic claims, may not depict a child or underage person consuming, may not use toys, cartoons, or characters that suggest a child, and may not be especially appealing to people under 18. "Organic" claims are treated as misleading unless federally authorized, and "pesticide-free" claims unless true through dispensing. "Advertising" is defined as communication for which consideration is paid, excluding packaging and labeling, and no rule says whether a dispensary’s own menu screen falls inside that definition. Nothing in the statute or rules addresses window visibility for dispensaries, warnings on ads, price or discount advertising, sign counts or sizes, pre-approval, fees, or video and motion displays. Dispensaries may keep labeled sample displays of up to 3.5 grams per container.

Applies to: medical only; all commercial licensees. Regulator: Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA).

  • No deceptive, false, or misleading advertising; no promoting overconsumption; no curative or therapeutic claims. “A medical marijuana business shall not engage in advertising that is deceptive, false or misleading” (63 O.S. § 427.21(A); OAC 442:10-7-3(b))
  • No depiction of a child or underage person consuming; no toys, cartoons, or characters that suggest a child; nothing especially appealing to people under 18. (63 O.S. § 427.21(B); OAC 442:10-7-3(b))
  • No advertisement or promotion that would reasonably be expected to induce minors to purchase or consume. (OAC 442:10-5-16(f))
  • "Organic" claims are misleading unless federally authorized; "pesticide-free" claims unless true through dispensing. (OAC 442:10-7-3(c))
  • "Advertising" is defined as communication for which consideration is paid and excludes packaging and labeling; the rules do not say whether a store’s own menu screen is advertising. “"Advertising" means the act of providing consideration for the publication, dissemination, solicitation, or circulation of visual, oral, or written communication” (OAC 442:10-1-4)
  • Dispensaries may display samples of no more than 3.5 grams in screened containers, each labeled with grower, strain, batch number, and "Sample: not for retail sale." (OAC 442:10-5-14)
  • Not addressed for dispensaries: window visibility, warnings on ads, price or discount advertising, sign count or size (only growers must post perimeter signage), pre-approval, fees, and video or moving signs. (63 O.S. § 427.21(C); OAC 442:10-7-3)

Potency on menus: No rule found for menus or screens. Packaging must reflect THC potency from the batch certificate of analysis (OAC 442:10-7-1); a false potency statement in advertising would fall under the ban on misleading advertising.

Where the rule is "keep it accurate," a menu that reads from the POS does the work: sold-out products drop off on their own and the price on the wall is the price at the register. Where the rule is about content, the layout and the campaign are yours to keep inside the lines.

Kiosks in Oklahoma: questions, answered

Do Oklahoma dispensaries use self-service kiosks?

Yes — self-service is standard equipment in modern dispensaries, the same way it is in airports and quick-service restaurants. Seed runs screens in 950+ storefronts across 36 states and D.C. Oklahoma has one of the highest dispensary counts per capita in the country — medical-only, hyper-competitive, and unforgiving of a menu that’s wrong.

Does a Seed kiosk work with my POS?

That’s the point of it. Kiosks populate from your live inventory through our API integrations — Dutchie, Treez, Blaze, Flowhub, COVA, and more — so patients only see in-stock products at the correct price, and orders land in your POS for fulfillment. See how the sync works.

Will the kiosk say Seed on it?

No — your kiosks are white-label. Your brand, your colors, your menu. Patients experience your store, not our logo.

Will self-service replace my budtenders?

Only as much as you want it to. Some stores run kiosks as the primary ordering channel and point staff at fulfillment; others use them as a pressure valve for rush hours. Your floor, your call — the kiosk just makes the choice available.

What does a kiosk cost?

Seed pricing is per location with unlimited screens and users — a kiosk doesn’t add a line item. Hardware runs on Elo touchscreens or iPads (2018 and newer). The full breakdown, hardware included, is in our dispensary kiosk cost guide.

How fast can my store go live?

Most stores go from signed to screens live in about a week. Book a demo — we’ll show your actual menu on a kiosk, not a mockup.
