TV MENUS IN NEVADA

The menu is the store

Nevada retail is built on tourism: first-time visitors all day long, every one of them reading your menu to figure out how this works. The menu is the most-read thing in the store. When it’s wrong — a sold-out SKU still up, a stale price — your budtenders spend the day apologizing for it. When it’s synced, they sell.

LIVE POS SYNC

Never sell what you don’t have.

Sold out? Off the menu before anyone asks for it. New price at the register? On the wall without anyone retyping a thing. Seed menus read your live POS inventory, so the most-read surface in your store is also the most accurate.

Menus built to sell.

Feature the brands you want to move, schedule the weekend promo weeks ahead, and run holiday campaigns across every screen without opening a design app. If someone on your team rebuilds menu graphics every morning, your signage is costing you payroll.

IN-STORE SCREEN RULES · NEVADA

What you can show on screens in Nevada

A Nevada dispensary screen can show menus, prices, specials, brand logos, and product images. The CCB’s 2023 guidance treats in-store signage and displays that stay inside the facility as not "advertising" for the warning requirement, while printed menus are advertising; digital in-store menus are not expressly addressed. Content may not appeal to children, depict consumption, make health claims, or offer cannabis as "free" or "donated" without a purchase, and product promotion is limited to the laboratory results on the label. Nothing may make cannabis visible from outside the store, and the required in-store prohibition signs must be posted. There is no state pre-approval, fee, sign-count, size, or motion-video rule, but local governments may regulate sign size and moving displays near the premises.

Applies to: adult-use and medical; every cannabis establishment. Regulator: Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board (CCB).

  • In-store signage and product displays that stay inside the facility are not treated as advertising for the warning requirement; printed menus, outdoor signs, and displays used outside the facility are. Digital in-store menus are not expressly addressed. “In-store signage, not expected to leave the facility” (CCB Advertising Guidance (January 2023))
  • Anything that is advertising must carry the two Board-prescribed warnings, visible and legible, plus the establishment’s name and license number. “"Keep out of reach of children" and "For use only by adults 21 years of age and older."” (NRS 678B.520(11)(e)-(f); NCCR 12.070)
  • No content that appeals to children: cartoons, mascots, action figures, balloons, fruit, toys, or anthropomorphic images. “shall not engage in advertising that in any way makes cannabis or cannabis products appeal to children” (NRS 678B.520(4); NCCR 12.070(4))
  • No health or therapeutic claims; product promotion is limited to the laboratory results on the label. “Must not make any health claims including but not limited to healing, curing, treating or reducing risk of any illness or health related condition.” (NCCR 6.020(1)(c))
  • No depiction of actual consumption; no false or misleading statements; nothing promoting overconsumption. (NRS 678B.520(11)(a); NCCR 6.120(1)(a))
  • No advertising or offering cannabis as "free" or "donated" without a purchase; discounts and sale prices are not otherwise restricted in the texts read. “Shall not advertise or offer any cannabis or cannabis product as "free" or "donated" without a purchase.” (NRS 678B.520(11)(d); NCCR 6.120(1)(d))
  • No cannabis or cannabis products may be visible from outside the establishment. “No visible cannabis or cannabis products from outside the establishment.” (NCCR 6.085(1)(b))
  • Sales facilities must post the mandatory prohibition signs inside the store (no minors, no on-site consumption, possession limits, no interstate transport). (NCCR 6.120(2))
  • No advertising in a medium where 30 percent or more of the audience is likely under 21. (NRS 678B.520(11)(b))
  • No state pre-approval of advertising; voluntary Board review is available. No state sign-count, size, or moving-display rule; local governments may regulate those near the premises. “Pre-approval of advertising is no longer required; however, board staff may review advertising upon request” (CCB FAQ; NRS 678B.520(13))

Potency on menus: No rule found for menus or screens. Potency is a labeling requirement; NCCR 6.020(1)(a) limits promotion to "marketing the laboratory results on the label," and whether that reaches potency on a menu screen is not stated.

Where the rule is "keep it accurate," a menu that reads from the POS does the work: sold-out products drop off on their own and the price on the wall is the price at the register. Where the rule is about content, the layout and the campaign are yours to keep inside the lines.

TV menus in Nevada: questions, answered

Which POS systems does Seed support in Nevada?

The majors: Dutchie, Treez, Blaze, Flowhub, COVA, LeafLogix, Meadow, Weave, MJ Freeway, IndicaOnline, and more. Products, prices, stock status, and specials flow from your POS to every screen automatically — here’s exactly what syncs.

How fast do menu changes show up on screen?

Menus re-check your POS about every ten minutes by default, and you can trigger an immediate refresh from Seed Manager whenever you need one. We’d rather tell you the real number than claim “instant.”

Do I need to buy new TVs?

No. Seed runs on any TV with an HDMI port. Most stores use the Amazon Signage Stick (code SEEDSAMZN takes 10% off) or an Apple TV 4K. The full rundown is on our hardware page, and the TV buying guide covers sizes, panels, and what to skip.

Can I show my deals and specials?

Deals are what screens do best. Specials sync from your POS along with everything else — including strike-through pricing — and Seed’s campaign tools let you feature a deal big on any screen, at any store, on a schedule.

What does it cost?

Pricing is per location with unlimited screens, playlists, and users — add a screen over the register or three more down the sales floor and your bill stays put. Book a demo for a quote on your store count.

How fast can my store go live?

Most Nevada stores would follow the same playbook as everywhere else: signed to screens live in about a week, with our design team building your first layouts from your brand. Book a demo and we’ll show your actual menu on screen.
